Smile Foundation has established its base in London. The London operation is the result of a strategic partnership between Smile Foundation and Childreach International (CRI). Smile Foundation through its London base aims at harnessing maximum utilisation and facilitation of resources (support, expertise and knowledge) into the child centric welfare projects in India and other South Asian countries. |

International Partners Meet in Goa
Smile Foundation organised a Directors’ Meet for its international partners under Action For Children (AFC) programme in Goa, India, between June 10 to 13.
The four-day-long meet was attended by representatives from Smile Foundation, Soul City (South Africa), Cese (Brazil), Wilde Ganzen, Net4Kids and Kids Rights, also from The Netherlands.
The participants discussed on a host of issues and strategies under the AFC programme, devised to sensitise and involve the privileged mass for the development of the underprivileged mass.
The meet highlighted further consolidation and expansion of the AFC programme in the developing countries, focussing on regions in South Asia, South America and Africa.
Mountaineering for charity
A group of enthusiasts from the Gulf countries participated in a mountaineering challenge to the Himalayas, organised by Gulf For Good, a Dubai-based charity organisation from May 15 to 23 with the purpose to support various educational and healthcare initiatives of Smile Foundation.
The group first landed in New Delhi from where it left for the trekking challenge to the Himalayas.
During their stay in India, the team visited Smile on Wheels, the national level mobile hospital programme by Smile Foundation. They had a closer observation of the facilities available inside the mobile hospital.
The funds raised by the participants will be used for the education of 100 marginalised children living in the slums in and around Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi and also in a new Smile on Wheels project in New Delhi. |
