An evening with a difference ‘Smile foundation was a part of ‘Ek Shaam Bachpan Ke Naam’ – a musical concert by Mr Pankaj Udhas organised on September 6, 2008 at Birla Auditorium, Jaipur. Important members of state judiciary of Rajasthan including the chief justice of Jaipur High Court, Col. Bhawani Singh, who is the scion of erstwhile princely state of Jaipur and a leading businessmen of Jaipur city, were among the eminent guests present on the occasion. About 2000 people from the elite section of the society attended the event.
Through the event, the masses were sensistised about the issue of child labour, child abuse, child trafficking and the need to safeguard the interests of less privileged children. The event was a big success and achieved the twin objective of sensitisation of privileged masses and raising funds for the marginalised children. |
