SAMSUNG supports Smile Foundation’s Smile Twin e-Learning Programme
New Delhi December 23, 2009: Smile Foundation today opened its 51st Smile Twin e-Learning Programme centre in India at Khora Colony, Noida. The centre is being setup with the support of Samsung Electronics.

The Smile Twin e-Learning Programme centre is being supported by Samsung under its ‘Hope Project’, which is a part of Samsung’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, whereby the company supports projects in the areas of education, culture and social welfare.

Speaking on the occasion, “Mr. K.K. Varma, Director- Programmes and Partnerships, Smile Foundation said, “Smile Foundation acknowledges the critical support of corporate partners that has made the Smile Twin e-Learning Programme a success. Encouraged by the overwhelming success in a short journey of three years, we are planning to open 100 centres by March 2011 in partnership with corporate partners.”
Mr Jung Soo Shin, President & CEO, Samsung South West Asia speaking about the initiative stated, “We are very delighted to associate the Samsung ‘Hope Project’ with the Smile Twin e-Learning Programme with the objective of empowering the youth through education and providing them with sustainable livelihood options. Having made a start with the Noida Centre today we will be setting up many more e-learning centers in other parts of the country in the Year 2010.” |
