Smile Foundation
is a national level development organization
reaching out to more than 1 Lakh underprivileged
children through various education and health
care projects across 21 states of India.

Smile follows
the model of Social Venture Philanthropy, an
idea successful in the business world as venture
capitalism. Smile identifies, handholds and
build capacities of genuine grassroots NGOs
to achieve scalability and sustainability with
a deep sense of accountability among the non-profits.
Credibility
& Governance
Smile promotes
and encourages good governance to achieve credibility
and accountability in the development sector.
Smile endorses Credibility Alliances norms.
Smile has comprehensive
MIS and internal audit systems.

& Alliances
Smile Foundation
has the privilege of getting support from more
than 70 corporate institutions besides about
20 national and international institutions in
course of its journey so far.
A few of the
organosations, supporting Smile, include Microsoft
Corporation, UPS Inc. USA, HDFC, HSBC, XANSA,
Suzlon Energy, Sandwood Infratech, ASSOCHAM,
CII, CVENT, Canara Bank, NCWCDO – Canada,
to name a few.
Mission
Education
Smile has supported
more than 150 basic welfare initiatives in last
five year. About 40 basic child education and
health care projects are operational at present.
Smile
on Wheels
Smile on Wheels
is a mobile health care programme which aims
to take comprehensive health care services (preventive,
promotive and curative) for the most underprivileged
population in remote rural areas and urban slums.
At present,
the project is reaching out to 1.5 lakh needy
people directly from 200 villages, with a total
population of 5.7 lakh, across 6 states of India.
Smile
Twin e-Learning Programme
This is an innovative
employability programme focusing on underprivileged
youth. They get trainings in skills like English
proficiency, computer operations and personality
development etc. which are in tandem with job
market requirement mainly in retail and service
industries.
At present,
56 centres are operational in 18 Indian states.
Smile plans to cover 50,000 youth in next 5
years.
Students from
Smile Twin e-Learning projects have already
been employed with companies like Café
Coffee Day, Westside Stores and Chroma.
Swabhiman:
for Health & Empowerment of the Girl Child
Swabhiman, meaning
self respect in Hindi, is health and empowerment
programme for the girl child. In Delhi alone,
it is reaching out to around 80,000 population.
After the success of Swabhiman since 2005, Smile
aims to make Swabhiman a national phenomenon.

Smile Foundation
strives to reach out to 1.5 million children
over a span of five years through sustainable
and accountable development initiatives; and
thus emerge as a development organization of
international repute |
