A session on the importance of education for the development of the individual and the society was conducted for the students of a school in Karnataka. Students of standard 8th, 9th and 10th standard attended the session. The students also talked about their fear of examinations for which the teachers asked them to prepare beforehand to and avoid keeping everything to study one day prior to the examination to score better in the exam.
Swabhiman, meaning self-respect in English, was initiated in 2005 to address these challenges through a simple yet effective approach.
