Riding on the wave of recent box office success of Kai Po Che, actor Sushant Singh Rajput chose to celebrate a special Holi with the underprivileged children of Smile Foundation, pledging to bring more underprivileged children in the ambit of education.
Taking time out from his busy schedule, Sushant visited one of the centres of Smile Foundation in Mumbai to spread some joy among the children there. He interacted with the children and gifted the children books, chocolates, and sweets. He played Holi with them and also danced with them to the tune of his songs.
Sharing his excitement on the occasion, Sushant said, “This is one of my most special Holi in a very long time. It just took me down the memory lane to reinvent myself as the child, who just used to indulge in colours and feast and that was my way of celebrating Holi. Today, being amongst these kids from Smile Foundation has made me feel very special. The innocence of these kids made me feel humble and touched. I loved every bit of my time with them.”
Smile Foundation is a national level development organisation reaching out to more than 200,000 underprivileged children, youth and women through 185 welfare projects across 25 states of India, on the themes of education, healthcare, livelihood, and empowerment of women and girl children.
