Innovatively sensitizing the masses has been both – focus and forte – for Smile Foundation. Be it through television or films, events or campaigns, Smile has explored various modes of making the civil society aware and participant in civic driven change, and has been quite successful in doing so. One of its yet another innovative sensitizing modes has been Ramp for Champs – a fashion show for the cause of children.
This year was a successful second season of Ramp for Champs. Organized in the garden city, the event for the second year in row, saw participation of not only the most renowned names in the social and business circuit but also the leading names among corporate houses.
Like the first season of the event, this year too the event was organized in association with fashion guru Prasad Bidapa, and was focused on promoting and ensuring education of underprivileged girls. Talking about the event Prasad Bidapa stated, “If every single one of us takes the initiative to educate one child in our lifetime, we can eradicate poverty and empower the youth of a new India. I thank all the corporate and the wonderful people who encouraged us and walked that extra mile for this cause. A very special thanks to Prestige Group, ITC Gardenia and Aircel who showed faith in this annual event right from its inception.”
The event, that has become the best event on the social calendar of Bangalore, was dedicated to the education of girls this time.
