Smile Foundation has joined hands with Children’s Film Society of India (CFSI) to screen value-based films for school children across India. 10 films have been handpicked for the festival, each highlighting a different value – ranging from friendship and family bonding, to animal love and cultural harmony.
Students from Bhansali Vidya Mandir Public School in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh watched some of the movies and will be watching the rest of the movies over the next few weeks. Mr. Ranjit Alexander, Principal of the school, inaugurated the screening.
The film screening is an effort towards making our children aware and sensitized about vital social issues, and inculcate in them strong values that they can uphold throughout their lives, growing up to be responsible citizens and change makers. Smile Foundation visits various privileged schools across India and conducts engaging sessions for the young minds, under its Child for Child programme.
