British Medical Journal has joined hands with Smile Foundation to support their Swabhiman programme for women empowerment by conducting medical camps for women and girls. These women belong to the section of society who cannot afford proper medical care and rarely see the doctor. Providing medical care to these women who are expecting mothers, new mothers and adolescent girls is of outmost importance. Smile Foundation’s Swabhiman programme along with BMJ is providing the needful care to these women and girls.
The BMJ is defined by its mission: to work towards a healthier world for all. They share that global endeavor with millions of readers working in clinical practice, research, education, government, and with patients and the public too.
As they put it, this mission defines them, far more than the format of their content. After nearly 180 years, their print edition still thrives, and has been joined by podcast, video, tweet, app, website and live event.
