In a country where many still struggle to meet their basic needs, access to quality healthcare often feels out of reach. Recognising this, one of the Smile Foundation’s “Smile on Wheels” project, supported by Pernod Ricard India Foundation (PRIF), is bringing medical services to those who need them most.

With three mobile medical units, this initiative is delivering primary healthcare right to the doorsteps of underserved communities in Gurugram, Derabassi and Gwalior. These mobile units ensure that people in rural-urban slums receive timely medical care, improving health outcomes and addressing a critical gap in access to healthcare services. During the year 2023-24, we reached 50,117 beneficiaries. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to making healthcare more accessible and improving lives where it’s needed the most.

In a nation where the majority of the population struggles to meet their basic needs, accessing quality healthcare remains an elusive dream for many. Recognizing this pressing issue, Smile on Wheels has taken the initiative to provide healthcare solutions to the destitute and their communities through its Mobile Medical Unit.

With the generous support of Pernod Ricard India Foundation, three Smile on Wheels vans have been deployed to deliver primary healthcare services directly to the doorsteps of the underserved populations residing in rural-urban slums. These vans are currently operating in Gurugram, Derabassi, and Gwalior, catering to the healthcare needs of these marginalized communities.

The Smile on Wheels Mobile Medical Unit serves as a lifeline for those who struggle to access proper medical care due to various challenges. By bringing healthcare services to their doorstep, the initiative aims to bridge the gap and ensure that the underserved receive the medical attention they urgently require.

Information Gathering

1. Smile Foundation collects information from the users in a number of ways, for example when the user:

Signs up for a campaign
Signs up to stay updated

2. While forwarding a donation for Smile Foundation the well-wishers have to submit some personal information as it would help us ensuring genuine contributions:

Your telephone number

3. Smile Foundation does not collect or record the user’s personal information unless he/she chooses to provide it.

Use of Personal Information

5. Usually, Smile Foundation does not store user data. In case of specific sign-ups, the data is stored as per user request. The user can opt to delete all the information he/she has provided by simply requesting such by mail. All information, without exception, will be deleted in two working days.

Individuals who join Smile Foundation’s mailing lists via its website or through its campaigning engagements are added to its email database. Smile Foundation does not sell, rent, loan, trade, or lease the addresses on our lists to anyone.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

No refund/cancellation for the donated amount by any donor will not be entertained, the online donations through the online payment gateway.
No cash or refund of money will be allowed.
If any in-kind support received by the donor from any where the material will be reached to the poorest of the poorer communities.
Once received the donation for a cause will not be refunded to the donor. No cancellation to be made. The donation will be used for the community development, children education or women’s empowerment.
