The Deutsche Bank team joined us in conducting an awareness session on 'Water Conservation' for government school children in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The students enjoyed the session as they learned in a fun way. This session was part of our ongoing collaboration with Deutsche Bank which is helping bring primary healthcare services right to the doorsteps of children and families through 7 Smile on Wheels mobile healthcare units in Mumbai, Jaipur, Bengaluru and Pune.
The Smile Colloquium, a series of deliberations, was initiated by Smile Foundation and attended by senior corporate leaders and grassroots social leaders providing a collaborative platform for meaningful discussions, knowledge sharing, and exploring potential partnerships. Our Empowering Grassroots initiative builds CBO capacities through training and match funding, rooted in our global partnership with Change the Game Academy. This program enhances grassroots CBOs in over 15 countries, with Smile as the nodal partner for Asia and the only Indian organization.
As part of Yamaha’s 69th Foundation Day, a group of dedicated Yamaha bikers embarked on an inspiring journey to connect with children from Smile Foundation’s education centres in 12 locations across India including Guwahati, Bhubaneshwar, Kolkata, Delhi, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore and Madurai. The engagement sessions focused on basic road safety measures, understanding traffic signals and following pedestrian rules. The Yamaha bikers also provided essential teaching and learning materials to the children.
Smile Foundation received the 'Health-Focused NGO of the Year' award at CSR Health Awards 2024, organized by the health and wellbeing think tank, the IHW Council. This award recognizes our healthcare program's extensive reach across 17 states in India, including aspirational districts, remote villages, and underserved urban communities. Our comprehensive and community-centric health program delivers primary healthcare services directly to the doorsteps of underserved populations in both rural and urban areas, addressing critical gaps in healthcare availability, accessibility, and affordability.
More than 1100 employees of Wells Fargo from Bangalore and Hyderabad engaged in book-making and greeting card-making activities for our children, as part of their Community Impact Week 2024. These heartfelt gestures not only brought joy but also motivated our children, making them feel valued and cherished. New friendships were formed, bridging gaps and nurturing a sense of community between the employees and our children. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Wells Fargo team for their support and spreading so many smiles.
At the Google campus by GServe in Gurugram, kindness took center stage as employees came together with Smile Foundation’s children for a fun-filled notebook-making activity. The event was a beautiful blend of creativity, collaboration, and meaningful interactions, where every gesture of support and encouragement resonated deeply with the students. The day was further enriched by a tour of the Google office, offering the students a firsthand look at an inspiring work environment, sparking their aspirations and dreams for the future.
Smile Foundation and Berger Paints have jointly launched a coffee table book titled 'From Canvas to Community' at Oxford Bookstore, Kolkata. The book highlights the journeys of 12 painters who transformed their lives through the Berger iTrain on Wheels project, implemented by Smile Foundation. Since its inception in 2021, the iTrain on Wheels initiative has reached and upskilled thousands of painters across 24 states. Through mobile iTrain vans, the program has helped both aspiring and experienced painters enhance their skills and entrepreneurial potential.
Smile Foundation’s Women Empowerment Initiative Wins ‘Best Healthcare and Wellness Program’ Award at India CSR and Sustainability Conclave 2024. Smile Foundation’s Swabhiman program, a women empowerment initiative, is a comprehensive, lifecycle approach to women’s empowerment. By addressing key areas such as reproductive and child health, nutrition, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, sustainability, and system strengthening, the program aims to transform the lives of women and their communities.

Smile Foundation received the ASSOCHAM Best CSR Excellence in Healthcare Award, a recognition that celebrates the unyielding dedication of our health team working across the country. Their hard work has allowed us to bring essential healthcare to underserved and remote communities, reaching some of the most challenging regions and those in need. Beyond medical care, our teams create awareness about child and maternal health, elderly care, and preventive practices for healthier lives.
Western Digital employees joined forces for a special Employee Engagement activity, building bicycles from scratch that were later handed over to children from Smile Foundation’s education centres. Many children often have to travel a long distance to school and the bicycles would provide an eco-friendly solution to this problem. This hands-on effort created a meaningful connection between the team and the cause, as they worked to bring joy to children.
More than 230 employees of Adobe came together with enthusiastic children from Smile Foundation’s education centres in Noida and Bengaluru to create beautiful Mandala art. This wonderful experience was not just about the art, but about bonding and being there for each other. Each child was gifted a school kit filled with essentials like a school bag, tiffin box, water bottle, pencil box, and stationery, adding to the excitement and joy of the day. The activity helped build a strong sense of community, creating lasting memories.
In celebration of Mirka India’s 14th anniversary, the team visited one of Smile Foundation’s education centres in Delhi. Mirka team participated in a BALA art activity, turning the centre's walls into vibrant canvases of hope and learning. The children joined hands with the tea, painting, singing, dancing together, as the walls slowly came to life. We thank the team for adding colors, creating a warm and inspiring place to learn, and spreading so many smiles.
The gift of education is the most sacred gift to a child. Oswaal Books collaborated with Smile Foundation under a cause related marketing association to provide better learning opportunities to girl children, through provision of quality educational resources. Books and teaching learning material (TLM) were distributed to girl children at Smile Foundation’s education centres, opening a new world of knowledge and possibilities for them, with the ultimate objective of improving their learning outcomes.
