Avantor Foundation, in partnership with Smile Foundation, is making healthcare more accessible to underserved communities through its Smile on Wheels project. This initiative deployed Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) to deliver primary healthcare services directly to those in need. Over the course of a year, thousands of people received treatment through daily OPDs. Special attention was given to pregnant and lactating mothers, ensuring safer motherhood and complementing government health services. From March 2022 to February 2023, the project reached approximately 15,000 people, including men, women and children, improving their access to vital healthcare.
In an impactful partnership with Avantor Foundation, Smile Foundation is bringing primary healthcare services to underprivileged individuals through its Mobile Medical Unit (MMU). Over the course of one year, approximately 15,000 men, women, and children will receive treatment through daily outpatient departments (OPDs).
The initiative aims to not only provide essential healthcare services but also prioritize the improvement of the health status of pregnant and lactating mothers, ensuring safe motherhood. By supporting the government health delivery system, Smile Foundation is actively working towards achieving these objectives and making a positive difference in the lives of underprivileged communities.
Through the Mobile Medical Unit, Smile Foundation is committed to reaching those who lack access to quality healthcare and ensuring they receive the necessary medical attention. By extending primary healthcare services to the underprivileged, Smile Foundation is playing a vital role in enhancing their well-being and promoting a healthier society for all.
