CBA Services Private Limited has entered into a partnership with Smile Foundation’s Swabhiman programme, which focuses on empowering women through reproductive health awareness and entrepreneurship development
This project located in Devanahalli, Bengaluru has a threefold objective. Firstly, it aims to generate awareness of the crucial issues of reproductive and sexual health among women and adolescent girls. By providing information, education, and counseling, the project equips them with the knowledge to make informed decisions about their reproductive health.
Secondly, the project focuses on building confidence and assertiveness in adolescent girls and young women, encouraging them to challenge gender stereotypes and improve their overall health and social status. Through various capacity-building initiatives, workshops, and mentoring, the project aims to empower these individuals to overcome societal barriers and fulfill their potential.
Thirdly, the project aims to improve the health-seeking behavior of the target group concerning reproductive and sexual health. By promoting a proactive approach to seeking healthcare services, the project strives to ensure better health outcomes for women and adolescent girls.
In terms of reach, the project aspires to impact 5,000 women and adolescent girls from identified marginalized communities through reproductive health education and services. Additionally, it aims to provide entrepreneurship development training to 200 women from underprivileged sections of society, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to establish and sustain their own businesses.
