Through a meaningful partnership with EIL (Engineering India Limited), Smile Foundation’s STeP programme is dedicated to providing training to underprivileged urban youth aged between 18 and 30 years in General Duty Assistant and Core Employability skills. In addition to regular classroom sessions, the program places significant emphasis on Career Counseling and Employee Engagement Programmes, ensuring holistic development for the participants.
Since 2015, Smile Foundation has joined forces with Ericsson India Private Limited to promote skill development and livelihood opportunities among underprivileged youth. Currently, Ericsson supports 40 STeP centers across five locations, namely Delhi (7), Kolkata (10), Bengaluru (8), Chennai (10), and Pune (5). The overarching goal of this partnership is to train 5,600 underprivileged individuals within a year and subsequently place at least 60% of the trained youth in roles such as General Duty/Bedside Assistants, Patient Care Executives, Front Desk Executives, Tele Marketers, and other essential services, along with fostering core employability skills.
