This Mission Education project promotes welfare and development of underprivileged children at NOIDA in Uttar Pradesh. Children, mainly from the slum clusters in the locality, are imparted education under this Mission Education project.. In addition to providing educational support, the project incorporates healthcare services for the children and their parents.
Under this project, free education is provided to children up to Class V level, and thereafter they are mainstreamed in nearby formal schools and in appropriate classes. Their retention in schools is ensured through proper follow–ups. This integrated project aims to be a case study for empowering the society by providing education to children from the underprivileged section.
With experienced teachers and a series of extracurricular activities that are organised at regular intervals, the centre ensures all-round development of every child. Regular health check-ups and growth monitoring sessions are held at the centre. Keeping in mind the nutritional need and support, all children are served a balanced mid-day meal at the centre.
Smile Foundation is implementing this project with Sankalp Saksharta Samiti.
