“It’s a simple idea: we all do better when we work together and invest in our future.”
– Elizabeth Warren
Our skill training and employment initiative for youth – STEP has been driven by this simple idea since its inception in 2007. India’s youth population today can very well define how the country will progress for decades to come. The Cover Story of this issue of Smilescapes highlights the crucial need of skill training to reap the unique demographic dividend that India is currently blessed with.
From preparing the country’s youth to become self-dependent, we move on to enabling grassroots social initiatives to become self-sustainable. The In Focus segment also explores the potential of technology in healthcare through our model telemedicine project in an aspirational district, and showcases our efforts to tap the potential of the First 1000 days to achieve maternal and neonatal health goals.
We are delighted to share with you some inspiring updates right from the ground, and with a lot of gratitude, an insight into the partnerships and events that helped us raise awareness and support around the causes we work for.
Hope you find the change unfurling through these pages as inspiring as we do.
Happy Reading!
