Members of the Women's Forum at Avery Dennison invited Smile Foundation's girl scholars to their Gurgaon office for a special session called “Found My Voice”. The session was aimed at enhancing the self-confidence of the girls and encouraging them to face their fears. Both the mentors and their young students had a great time participating in interesting activities and games together.

US Consul-General Phillip Min, along with his wife Eun Young Lee, visited Smile Foundation's Mission Education centre in Bengaluru and spent a lot of time interacting with the children. “I had a great time with the children. Smile Foundation is doing a wonderful job by nurturing the kids to become good citizens of tomorrow. My best wishes are with them to continue the good work”, said Mr. Min.
Employees from OSC visited Mission Education centre Maxvision (supported by OSC) in Gurgaon to provide fitness training to children. The sessions were focused on the importance of fitness and what all one should do to be fit. The OSC team also distributed sports items to the children in order to promote fitness and outdoor games
Blue Hyundai, a leading dealership store in Bengaluru, teamed up with Smile Foundation to support the cause of girl education. During the campaign, they donated part proceeds from the sale of every car from their store. The employees of Blue Hyundai too supported the campaign whole-heartedly, sporting specially created badges that said “I support girl child education” with pride.
Smile Foundation children in Mumbai were in for a special treat when Prime Focus Technologies, a leading media and entertainment company, invited them to watch the movie “Flying Jatt” at their office. The fun did not end there as the kids were also in for a sumptuous lunch and surprise gifts. The entire team at Prime Focus extended a very warm welcome to their young friends and interacted with them at length.
Bollywood actor Tara Sharma flagged off the Mumbai Juniorthon (organised by Party Sharty Entertainment Pvt Ltd) with Smile Foundation children. The first ever annual running event for children and junior athletes in Mumbai, the Juniorthon aims to promote outdoor activities and physical fitness amongst children by giving them an opportunity to accomplish the goal of running. The proceeds from the event went towards supporting Smile Foundation's Mission Education programme.
Volunteers and employees from Disney organized a special screening of Disney's latest production CARS 3 for Smile kids in Bengaluru. They were spellbound by the movie's twists and turns and clapped loudly as the final race came to an end. For many of the children it was their first exposure to a multiplex and mall. Later they had fun interactions with the Disney team, enjoying the experience to the fullest.
Karan Gupta Education Foundation joined hands with Smile Foundation to promote girl child education and support the cause of gender equality under its initiative “I am Woman”. The event recognized power women from diverse fields including Amruta Fadnavis (Social Activist and First Lady of Maharashtra), Laxmi Agarwal (Acid attack survivor), Gauri Sawant (transgender activist), and Farah Khan Ali (Jewellery Designer) among others. Girl children from Smile Foundation put up a beautiful performance during the event.
Quaker India in association with Smile Foundation brought its Feed a Child programme to Chennai – an initiative that aims to further the cause of nutrition support among children by providing them with nutritious meals. Chef Vikas Khanna, Smile Foundation's Goodwill Ambassador for Nutrition, along with noted actresses Shriya Saran and Meenakshi Dixit, shared a meal with Smile kids to mark the occasion.
Puma employees joined the Sports Day celebrations at Mission Education centre in Bengaluru (supported by PUMA). The employees played many games with the kids and shared some valuable lessons on the importance of holistic development and the need for regular sports activities along with everyday studies. The camaraderie between the employees and the children was amazing.
Employees from S&P Global spent a day in the slums of Vikaspuri, New Delhi – spreading awareness on health and hygiene. Going from door to door, the employees interacted with mothers, children and elders, informing them about the upcoming health camp (supported by S&P Global) in their slum. They also organised a street play and volunteered their services during the camp. A total of 296 people benefitted from the health camp.
KFC celebrated the completion of one year of battling hunger and malnutrition through its Add Hope initiative with Smile Foundation in India. To commemorate the same, children from Smile Foundation joined in the festivities at Kolkata along with Bollywood actor Tanishaa Mukerji. The Add Hope Initiative is a global drive by KFC to create awareness and raise funds to provide meals for underprivileged children.
Smile children were invited to celebrate the birthday of their favourite cartoon character – Chhota Bheem at Yoga by the Bay with Dr. Mickey Mehta and Shaina NC. The kids stretched it out with the characters and later joined them for a wonderful cake cutting celebration. Bheem along with Mickey Mehta and Shaina NC also pledged their support for Smile Foundation's 'Say No to Child Labour' campaign.
BBLUNT Style Bar – an extension of India's premier hairdressing salon – BBLUNT, celebrated Happier Hair Days with their 'Styling for Kids' initiative launched on Children's Day. Adhuna Bhabani, Celebrity Hairstylist and Founder of the brand along with the team of experts from their Thane branch gave young champs of Smile Foundation a fun hair makeover, spreading many smiles
Google employees from Hyderabad volunteered to paint the classrooms of Smile Foundation's Mission Education Centre in the city. A team of 52 volunteers dusted the classrooms, mixed paints, painted the walls and created many interesting and fun themes to decorate the classrooms for the kids. The children could not hide their excitement to begin learning in their new classrooms.
The cabin crew of Indigo took out time from their busy schedules to land right at Smile Foundation's Mission Education centre in Delhi. The young ladies had a great time interacting with the children, teaching them, playing quizzes and other fun games. The children too were highly motivated, and bombarded the Indigo team with questions. Indigo is supporting the education of 200 girl children under Mission Education programme this year.
Divya Khosla Kumar, Smile Foundation's Goodwill Ambassador, advocated and supported the cause of girl child education for Smile Foundation at the PCJ Delhi Times India Showcase Week 2017. Designer Nitya Bajaj too lent her support, dedicating her latest collection titled EQUINE to the cause.
On the occasion of Father's Day, Droom planned a day-out for Smile Foundation children in Delhi. They gifted new school bags to the kids and took them for a movie, and later for a big treat. The Droom employees seemed to be just as happy as the children throughout the day. Founded in April 2014 in Silicon Valley, Droom is India's first & largest marketplace to buy and sell new and used automobiles and automobile services.
Noted artist and designer Suvigya Sharma joined hands with Smile Foundation to support the cause of girl child education at “Parinay”, an exclusive event organized in Jaipur by Emars Events. Actor Kunal Kapoor, Sana Khan and Singer Hriday Garrani also lent their support to the cause at the event.
FIS Global employees in Mumbai, Chandigarh, Bangalore, Chennai and Gurgaon conducted a week-long activity on environment conservation with Smile Foundation children at the five Mission Education centres supported by FIS. Ice-breaking activities and conversations were followed by plantation drives at each centre, where one volunteer assisted one child each to plant a sapling and pledged to protect the environment together.

The stars of Indian cinema came together at the Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Awards 2017 and supported Smile Foundation’s She Can Fly campaign in support of girl child education. Smile Foundation was Cause Partner for the award ceremony. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Saiyami Kher, Urvashi Rautela, Piyush Mishra, Sara Khan, Kirti Kulhari, Anoop Jalota, Falguni Pathak, Javed Akhtar, Raju Srivastava, Hema Malini and Yogesh Lakhani lent their support to the cause.

Smile Foundation runs the Mumbai Marathon

Over 1000 people ran to support the cause of education of children with Smile Foundation at the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2017. Employees from Life Insurance Corporation, Cello Writing, SBI Life Insurance Co Ltd, Abbott Healthcare India, State Bank

of India, and Prudential PLC participated, along with young volunteers from the Thakur College of Engineering. Their support has ensured education of over 1500 children under Smile Foundation’s Mission Education programme across India.

NTT Communications partnerned with Smile Foundation to support the Mission Education programme. NTT Communications is a leading global provider of information and communications technology solutions. With an extensive presence in Asia, it supports companies in expansion to primary and emerging Asian markets with a range of services.

Caparo India partnered with Smile Foundation to support healthcare of the less privileged population in Bawal, Haryana, including the worker community of their manufacturing plant in the area. 12 health camps have been conducted so far. Caparo Power Ltd and Caparo MI Steel Processing Ltd are leading power supply and automable parts manufacturing companies.

Clifford Chance Business Services Pvt Ltd partnered with Smile Foundation to support the education of 200 underprivileged children under Mission Education programme for the second year. Established in 2007, Clifford Chance Business Services Pvt Ltd provides a wide range of IT Enabled Services. Having grown steadily over the years, it now employs more than 400 highly skilled and experienced professionals.

BC Examinations and English Services India Private Limited joined hands with Smile Foundation to support the higher education of 10 girl scholars within the Delhi-NCR region under Swabhiman programme. BC Examinations and English Services India Pvt Ltd is a subsidiary of the British Council, UK, which is the United Kingdom's international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities.

Through its second year of association with Smile Foundation, Schenker India is supporting the education of 119 children. DB Schenker India offers a complete range of international air & ocean freight services, integrated logistics services and global supply chain solutions from a single source supported by its strong worldwide network comprising of 2000 locations.

Through its fourth year of association with Smile Foundation, Konica Minolta India Pvt Ltd has supported the education of 350 children on a national level. Konica Minolta India Pvt. Ltd. is one of the leading Japanese Office Automation Company. It is the subsidiary of Konica Minolta Inc., headquartered in Tokyo, Japan and presently located at 41 sites across the globe.

R1 RCM Global, formerly known as Accretive Health, joined hands with Smile Foundation by supporting the education of 200 children through a new Mission Education centre in Noida. They are already supporting the education of 200 children in Gurgaon. R1 RCM Global is engaged in the business of Information Technology Enabled Services, specialized in rendering backend healthcare support services to US Hospitals.

Relaxo Foundation supported a new Smile on Wheels mobile hospital project in Alwar, Rajasthan, aimed at benefitting over 16,000 people every year. Relaxo Foundation is the CSR arm of Relaxo Footwears Ltd. Relaxo being a responsible business group believes that the collective development of all stakeholders especially the people at the bottom of the pyramid is prerequisite for sustainability of business.

Intas is supporting Mission Education programme through Sartel, a highly reputed anti-hypertensive brand of the Indian pharmaceutical market. For every strip of Sartel sold, an amount goes towards the education of underprivileged children. Through their fourth year of support, Canara HSBC OBC is supporting employability training for underprivileged youth in Mumbai under their project “Saksham”. Launched in 2008, Canara HSBC OBC Life Insurance is a joint venture between Canara Bank, HSBC Insurance & Oriental Bank of Commerce, with the shareholders having a combined experience of over 300 years in the financial services space in the country.
