Partnerships

Shakuntalam Charitable Foundation has partnered with Smile Foundation to start the first Smile on Wheels project in Mumbai in the coming quarter. The Foundation has been constituted with a deep rooted belief on the imperative need of fulfilling social responsibilities towards the weaker sections of the society. It was formed by Trustees Neelima Bajpai and Shyamashis Bhattacharya, who have been running one of the leading television production houses in Mumbai called ‘Shakuntalam Telefilms ‘.

Opera Software has partnered with Smile Foundation to support the basic education of many underprivileged children of India through its ‘Smile with Opera Mini’ campaign. Opera Software ASA was founded in 1994, based on the idea that access to the web should be a universal right. 275 million people (and counting) use the Opera web browsers for computers, mobile phones, TVs and other connected devices. Opera also delivers tools, distribution, engagement, monetisation and market insights to developers, publishers and brands around the world.

Marie Claire, a leading monthly women’s magazine, has partnered with Smile Foundation to launch a year-long campaign ‘Right to Respect’ wherein it will address various issues that women in India deal with on a daily basis, ranging from cultural stereotypes to physical violence. Under this initiative, which commenced on International Women’s Day, Marie Claire will provide those women, whose voices have been suppressed for long, with a platform to make their voices heard. It will further contribute 5% of its total advertisement revenues to Smile Foundation to support the Swabhiman programme for the empowerment of women and girl children for a year.

Philips Electronics India Limited has partnered with Smile Foundation through a campaign ‘More Styles More Smiles’ through which it is supporting the education of 3333 underprivileged children. Under this campaign a part of the sale proceeds from the grooming products of Philips will be contributed to Smile Foundation to help provide teaching learning material, uniform, nutrition, healthcare facilities to underprivileged children. Philips Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. is a subsidiary of the Netherlands-based Royal Philips Electronics. It is the leading health and wellbeing company with global leadership positions in key markets of healthcare, lighting and consumer lifestyle.

ZEETEX, a fully owned subsidiary of ZAFCO, has joined hands with Smile Foundation under its Direct Child Support programme to support the education of 100 children for a year. Founded in 1993, ZAFCO distributes and sells to retail companies world class tyres, batteries and lubricants of leading brands in over 80 countries, working closely with 800+ distributors. Brand ZEETEX was established in 2005. Its product portfolio comprises of tires, batteries and lubricants and offers over 600 differentiated items for the automotive industry.

Pernia’s Pop-up Shop has entered into a partnership with Smile Foundation, under which it will sell Sonam Kapoor’s top fashion wardrobe online for funding the education of underprivileged girl children under Swabhiman programme. Pernia Qureshi is a leading stylist and fashion icon. Her e commerce venture www.perniaspopupshop.com offers India’s premier designers to a global clientele. The site constantly seeks at keeping fashion truly innovative and stylish for its discerning customers.

Aradya International has joined hands with Smile Foundation to contribute a part of the sales proceeds of its spa packages, towards the Mission Education programme for the cause of providing education to children from underprivileged communities. Aradya International is a luxury brand under the parent company Bodyspa International and is headquartered in Singapore. The brand was launched in Delhi NCR in February, with the aim to provide premium range of spa services to clients across its Delhi-NCR outlets.

Herbalife Family Foundation, in association with Smile Foundation, is providing nutritional support to 3000 children of Mission Education programme in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad through its Casa Herbalife programme. Herbalife Limited had conducted a spectacular event in Bangalore International Exhibition Centre in February to felicitate its achievers and also train a new batch of marketers on enhacing sales. The event was attended by more than 30,000 distributors from across the country. Smile Foundation also participated in this event, with the objective of sensitising the participants.
