Smile Foundation and Union Bank of India (UBI) have joined hands to undertake a Post Disaster Rehabilitation Project in flood affected areas of Uttarakhand. The health-based rehabilitation programme will provide free health services to affected people from 23 villages of Rudraprayag district through the means of Static Health Clinic and regular village based Health Camps.
UBI, established in 1919, is one of the largest public sector banks of India and has over 3500 branches across India. The Bank’s core values of prudent management without ignoring opportunities are reflected in the fact that the Bank has shown uninterrupted profit during all 93 years of its operations.
Smile Foundation’s programme team has already initiated the project by conducting an intense Need Assessment Survey in the flood affected areas of Uttarakhand.
