A dental check-up was conducted for children of a school in Solapur, Maharashtra under the Child for Child programme. Child for Child programme has collaborated with the Indian Dental Association to conduct more such programmes for school children across India. The children were taught about the benefits of good dental hygiene and the benefits of brushing twice a day and eating less sugar for good oral hygiene. The children greatly benefitted from the session as they got to learn new things and also get treated at the same time.
CFC currently reaches out to nearly one million privileged children in 900 schools spread across 417 districts of India, every year. In addition, their parents and teachers are also involved in the process. The programme has today reached out to each part of India with the exception of Lakshadweep.
