Food Festival at Edify Amravati was an example of innovation and alternative to the activities conducted conventionally under the CFC program.
The day of Food Festival was a real test, but well organized. The beauty of this activity was that all the stakeholders of the school got involved directly in raising the charity for Smile Foundation. The parents, students and faculty enthusiastically, in cohesion, enjoyed the fund-raising program through the Food Fest. The event saw the participation of 1000+ parents and students.
As in Assembly Talks we have develop this program as a competition and the hard work of the students were appreciated with tokens, in this Fest the best decorated Food / Highest Collecting Stall were awarded with prizes.
Under the Child for Child programme, Smile Foundation visits various schools and conducts engaging sessions for the young minds. It sensitizes children towards various causes and let them realize their privileged status and conducts health checkups regularly.
CFC currently reaches out to nearly one million privileged children in 900 schools spread across 417 districts of India, every year. In addition, their parents and teachers are also involved in the process. The programme has today reached out to each part of India with the exception of Lakshadweep.
Smile Foundation is an NGO in India directly benefitting over 600,000 children and their families every year, through more than 250 live welfare projects on education, healthcare, livelihood and women empowerment, in over 950 remote villages and slums across 25 states of India.
