Smile Foundation with support from Gas Authority of India Limited has started an Integrated Community Development project in the state of Madhya Pradesh. This project is operational in five villages of the state namely – Ahmedapur, Bublakhedi, Bawarikheda, Chainpura and Padarkheri, of Guna district. The project operation for Guna district was launched in May 30, 2012.
This integrated project is focused on providing education to the underprivileged children and primary healthcare services to the people, especially children and women in the identified areas. The project in Guna district will be providing education to over 200 children through bridge education and remedial education centers. Along with this, it will also provide healthcare to over 1000 people in the district through regular health camps.
During the launch of the project a health camp was conducted and uniforms, books and bags were also distributed to the children already enrolled in the project.
