Over 250 children of small-time farmers and labourers of Hathi Basti (East Delhi) are experiencing school for the first time at the Mission Education Centre at Samarpan built on the banks of the Yamuna River. Morning prayer and exercise are a part of the daily routine here. The programme also intends to curb malnutrition, provide medical facilities and also make them aware about personal hygiene. A total of four hours of classes are conducted every day in two shifts, morning and afternoon.
