Smile Foundation; in partnership with Karma Healthcare and Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australian High Commission have initiated a telemedicine project to serve the needs of communities in the remotest parts of Bhilwara, Rajasthan. Based on the ‘hub-and-spoke’ model, the project will provide diagnostics and medical consultation services through video conferencing with specialized doctors and equipment available at the telemedicine clinics.
The Smile on Wheels programme has so far provided free healthcare services to more than 10 lakh children and families.
Smile Foundation is an NGO in India directly benefitting over 750,000 children and their families every year, through more than 350 live welfare projects on education, healthcare, livelihood and women empowerment, in over 1000 remote villages and slums across 25 states of India.
