It is important for teachers to always be innovative to inspire and motivate students to work hard in the classroom and after school as well. Special training for innovative teaching practices is one way to achieve the same. A Teacher’s Training workshop was conducted for a group of 21 teachers for 3 days in West Bengal. These teachers teach children from marginalized families in remote rural areas who are irregular and less interested in studies due to the financial condition of their families. Steps to reduce dropout rates, make learning more fun was discussed along with methods to make the learning process more effective.
