Smile Foundation has joined hands with Children’s Film Society of India (CFSI) to screen value-based films for school children across India. 10 films have been handpicked for the festival, each highlighting a different value – ranging from friendship and family bonding, to animal love and cultural harmony.
In Nagpur, 600 students of class 1st to 10th from Central India Public School, Kapsi, attended the inaugural screening of the film “Kabhi Pass Kabhi Fail”. The students were very excited throughout the film and responded with interesting questions and discussions post the screening. The Principal, Mr. Rajendra Mishra, was also present during the screening, along with teachers and staff from the school.
The children eagerly await the rest of the films, which have been scheduled over the next few weeks.
The film screening is an effort towards making our children aware and sensitized about vital social issues, and inculcate in them strong values that they can uphold throughout their lives, growing up to be responsible citizens and change makers. Smile Foundation visits various privileged schools across India and conducts engaging sessions for the young minds, under its Child for Child programme.
